Day 5: Saturdays Are For Couch Snuggles
Today was a nice and chill day! It’s been pretty rainy here in Los Angeles the past week, and today was no exception. On top of that, it’s pretty chilly! I opted to stay in all day and catch up on some TV. It’s the ideal Saturday for me. My dog was not complaining.
I started my morning with my usual hot tea. Don’t you just love this mug?! I got it for fall, but I use it year round because it’s just so cute!
A little later, I heated up Umpqua Oats for my first meal. I added a tablespoon of almond butter, a handful of pecans, and a teaspoon of cocoa powder to make it a more heartier meal. It kept me full for quite some time!
Between meals, I snacked on some cantaloupe. I can not express enough how much I love cantaloupe. It’s such an underrated fruit. I’m here to give it the recognition it deserves.
Later, I had the last two slices of the cauliflower crust pizza I made the other day. I get the crust from Trader Joes, and it’s quickly becoming my favorite. I don’t even know if I need real crust ever again. It’s that good.
For another snack, I had one of my multi grain and seed cracker with a mini brie bite. This is too good for words.
For dinner, we made grilled chicken tenders seasoned with TJ’s ‘Everything But The Bagel’ seasoning I love so much. I didn’t think to take a picture until I was half way done, but I cooked up some steamed mushrooms and spinach.
Lastly, I tried my hand at making a mug cake by adding a dash of flour, cocoa powder, apple sauce, and stevia and then microwaving it for 90 seconds. It wasn’t too bad! I had been dealing with a sweet tooth so this tided me over for another day.
If you are following my intermediate fasting schedule, I started my first meal at noon and my last meal by 5pm. I will have my next meal by noon tomorrow.
